The alpaca represents much more than a fiber of recognized quality; behind it lies an ecosystem, a tradition, and the work of thousands of families.

In this edition, I invite you to reflect on the value of the alpaca from a broader perspective, recognizing its connection to the conservation of high-Andean ecosystems and the importance of advancing toward an increasingly sustainable and fair value chain.

Likewise, we share the main activities and news from the AIA, including the commemoration of National Alpaca Day and the recent Forum "Weaving as Peru's Ancestral Legacy: Identity, Sustainability, and Future."
